FAULKNER & FAIRCLOTH PENS

Stories with Big Hearts & Brave Voices

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Faulkner & Faircloth are the creative mother-son duo behind the Stella stories. Writing under the names K. J. Faulkner and Nolan Faircloth, they blend heart, humor, and southern storytelling into meaningful children’s literature.

With deep coastal roots and a shared passion for stories that strengthen character, they craft narratives that help children feel seen, valued, and wonderfully themselves.

THE STELLA SERIES

Stella is an imaginative, big-thinking cockapoo who bravely chases her ideas, even when they unravel, and learns to trust what is true.

Each character-driven story follows Stella as her imaginative instincts lead her into a new situation, from reinventing herself at the groomer to interpreting a mysterious voice in the garden, where her bold ideas spiral before she recalibrates and finds her footing.

📖 Stella Finds Her Style

Stella is ready to shine… but first she has to figure out what that means.

Stella Finds Her Style is a joyful, character-building story about self-expression, courage, and learning that the most beautiful thing you can wear is exactly who you are.

📖 Stella Finds Her Voice

With humor, heart, and a cast of unforgettable canine personalities, Stella Finds Her Voice celebrates brave choices, quiet leadership, and the courage to speak as yourself.

Because sometimes the strongest bark… is the one you almost held back.

📖 Stella Meets the Queen

Stella hears a mysterious voice in the garden and, in her rush to meet a queen who won’t stay hidden for long, must learn that truly seeing something extraordinary begins with learning how to listen.

📖 Stella’s Biggest Idea

When a new cockapoo arrives at the park and beats Stella at every game, Stella’s confidence takes a tumble. But Stella isn’t just competitive, she’s brave, imaginative, and full of big ideas. With one bold announcement, she answers with her biggest idea yet… The Big Bark Bash.

📖 Stella and the Rainy Day Rules

The best days at the dog park are the messy ones. While the other girl dogs stay clean and composed under the covered benches, Stella races into the rain, sliding, splashing, and playing exactly the way she wants to. When Glenda Gayle insists there’s a proper way to behave, Stella isn’t so sure. This story celebrates choosing what feels true, even when it doesn’t look like what everyone else does.
